Yosemite National Park

_DSC8235After San Francisco, we made a quick run through NAPA Valley, then on to Yosemite.  Just as all of our friends predicted, we were blown away by the beauty of Yosemite National Park but unfortunately we were also stunned by the traffic.  We planned two days here and needed them to see only a fraction of the sights, but after one day of National Park gridlock we decided to move on.  It is not that the roads are crowded in the park, it is that there is just not any where to park at each attraction.  Admittedly they do have a shuttle to run between attractions, but you still have to find a place to park initially and we found that to be impossible.

In spite of the traffic, we did get to see some magnificent sights.  I had a hard time choosing which photos to display because everything in this park is picture perfect.

Hey Deb, half of Rex Wellness is at Yellowstone for a 1/2 marathon!!! That could explain more traffic overall.

So that explains it! Sure wish I had known, we could have tried to get there to cheer them on!!

Very nice documentation of our trip. It was fun…… and tiring. Packed a lot in a short amount of time.

PS just started to feel normal the last couple of days. The mad dash all the way across the country took a lot out of both of us.

Thanks to you for all of the great planning! I imagine you both have just recovered, you traveled twice as much as we did. Have a great rest of the summer and let us know when you are headed our way again.
