Toward the end of our 6 month quest to rid ourselves of everything that would not fit in our RV, it seemed as though our goal kept steadily moving away from us. Then suddenly on Tuesday morning after returning the cable boxes, visiting the bank, and loading the car we were done. Just like that we could go and we did! I am happy to report that after our first day of being full time RVers (okay day one was only part time as last minute chores kept us from leaving until 11:00am), there were no serious injuries or major property damage to us or to our coach. To be on the safe side, we planned our first stop at Camping World in Marion, NC where they have a lovely campground right beside their service department. Fortunately we spent our evening there enjoying our quiet spot down by the river and did not have to spend any time having repairs done. Storm is proud of the way he has gotten right back in the big rig saddle. Here is a taste of our first day out:
Deb!!! OMG…I just saw your note at the wellness ctr…I guess we haven’t talked in awhile!! I am so envious of you two. It takes a lot of guts, but just think of the excitement and adventures you’ll have. You should have a map that shows your whereabouts. I really wish I could have given you a hug and well wishes in person, but I know you’ll be back to visit.
Best of luck. Stay save. HAVE FUN!!!!!
Mary
Oh Mary, I hate I did not get to hug you goodbye, but this last month was crazy. You were a bit of my inspiration to do this with all your downsizing and good advice. I will be sure to see you when we next visit. I hope to add the map as soon as we get settled in.
You guys are great, and CONGRATULATIONS, you are going to have the time of your lives meeting new folks and traveling new places. Wish we could come with you. ONe of these days……..:>) GOD BLESS
