The New Bern Shriner’s Parade

Shriner's Banner

Saturday arrives before the cold and rain return allowing Storm and me to remain dry and warm as we attend the Sudan Shriner’s Parade downtown.  While waiting for the parade to start, we pop in the New Bern Fire Department Museum which is conveniently located on the parade route.  With all the fun we have, it is better to share this day with pictures rather than words.

  1. What a hoot, the parade that I saw a couple of them was so drunk that they could hardly walk. Have been through the fire department too, nice and some neat stuff there. Glad your having a good time. GOD BLESS

I did not find out about the parade until it was too late to share. In case you are free next weekend, Tryon Palace is having free visit day on Saturday. Feb 3rd. Tour the palace first floor and outbuildings at no charge all day.

  2. Great video and pictures! We love those small town parades! That budding tree gives me hope for warmer weather!
