Minuteman Missile Site

We are finally in South Dakota enjoying our vacation with our family in the area around Custer State Park.  This park is one of my favorite places to visit as there is so much to do here.  Before I take you on a tour of Custer, here is a video from one of our first expeditions into the plains around Rapid City to visit the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site.

Note:  I am working on improving the audio and believe that I have figured it out.  Future videos should have noticeably better audio.  Please bear with me until then.

  1. Great place, we stopped there on our trip in 2010. I worked on the Minuteman when stationed at Whiteman AFB in Knobnoster Mo. I think all of them have been decommissioned now. Visiting the site there brought back a lot of memories. And there was some scary times as well. ;>) Glad you got the RV fixed and things are going well again. The video did not come through on this note either. ;>( GOD BLESS

Thanks for checking the site for me. I think the video is working now, but just in case here is a link to it on youtube:

Next time we get together, I definitely want to here about your time with the Minuteman. The museum here really was interesting, but alarming in the number of close calls they documented.
