Lexington BBQ Festival

Last Saturday, we boarded the Amtrak train in Cary at the frighteningly early hour of 5:45am to be whisked via rail to the Lexington, NC BBQ festival.  We arrived at a special one day hospitality train stop in Lexington and spent the day enjoying the remarkable sights, sounds, smells and tastes of this popular festival.  When the train returned at 6:13pm to pick us up for the ride back to Cary, we had barely finished checking out all of the attractions!  I highly recommend this festival as it is extremely well-organized and full of delights for all ages.   Here are a few pictures from the event:
