A week or so ago, my niece spent a weekend with me while she attended the Girls Rock NC band camp. At this camp, the girls form a band, learn to play an instrument, write a song, design their costume and concert posters, then perform their song on stage on the last night. From the smile on her face and the songs on her lips, I gather she had a great time at the camp. For my part, I enjoyed her company and her ability to work my cell phone and act as my personal assistant while I was driving! After the big Rock Concert at the end of the camp, I interviewed her about her experience:
