Fiesta Favorites and Funnies

The 50th Anniversary of Balloon Fiesta has ended.  This year’s celebration will go down in the records as a very soggy event.  Also I believe it was the first Fiesta during which the weather never allows an Evening Glow inflation.

In spite of these setbacks, I still enjoy many memorable moments.  Where possible, I capture them in photos.  Hope you enjoy the highlights below.

Chase Vehicles

Now THIS is a chase vehicle!
Is this rainbow a sign? Well the rain holds off, but winds blow away any chance of a Glow this evening.
This one speaks for itself.
This one says "Go Around!!! If it was supposed to be fast, it wouldn't be shaped like a brick."

This balloon has just been inflated when a violent thunderstorm develops over the field and the glow is doused.
The sloth slowly settles near the cemetery.
It took some research, but I finally figured out that the song on this balloon is the Beatles' "Yesterday"
If only this sunshine could have conquered the rain.
