While dining with our friends Matt and Jo from Flyinn New Zealand at the Airventure Seaplane Base, Storm and I met Marie who is a member of the Western Michigan University Precision Flight Team. Marie told us that she is an nationally ranked E6B flight computer manipulator. We were thrilled to learn of her skills as like most old codgers our age we thought young people were so married to electronic gadgets that the old manual tools like an E6B “whiz wheel” had vanished from their flight bags. Watch as Marie proves us wrong and if you look closely you will see a seaplane landing in the background!
