A Memorable Memorial Day

Stormy and I love the Memorial Day celebration in Marion, Va and we were lucky enough to make it there for the holiday this week.  Among the highlights was the Star Spangled Banner sung by a 91 year old gentleman who had served in Patton’s 3rd Army during World War II.  Each person from Smyth County who died serving our country was honored by the reading of their name and the ringing of a bell during the Saturday ceremony.  Letters from Home (the Andrews Sisters tribute duo) who are among our all time favorite performers were also there and put on a moving and highly entertaining show.  There was so much fun stuff, I will post a little each day and for today a clip from Sunny:
